479 Ocean Boulevard was conceived as a fresh intervention along a bustling coastal corridor, designed to challenge traditional multi-family conventions. The architectural challenge was to provide maximum living density without sacrificing individual spatial quality. Our solution focuses on a stacked-volume approach, maximizing private exterior living space. Each residence enjoys dedicated, full-width balconies, offering seamless indoor-outdoor flow and inviting cooling ocean breezes.
The exterior is defined by its rhythmic, patterned symmetry and material integrity. The high ground plane effectively tackles local elevation challenges while providing discrete under-building parking and a secure entry sequence. The detailed treatment—including custom ornamental brackets, decorative gables, and functional louvered shutters—not only enhances the development's "curb appeal" but ensures it complements the existing upscale, single-family vernacular of Ocean Boulevard.
